Getting your Daily Dozen doesn’t get any easier than this. Or any cooler — a nice plus if you’re carrying a baby through a long, hot summer. This parfait teams fresh fruit, yogurt and granola for a refreshing breakfast at home or on the go.
1 ripe yellow peach or nectarine, or ½ mango, coarsely chopped
1 cup yogurt, any flavor
½ cup granola
½ cup blueberries or sliced strawberries
Mint sprig (optional)
Arrange the chopped peach, yogurt, granola and berries in alternating layers in a parfait glass or stemmed glass. Top with a mint sprig, if desired. Want to take the parfait with you? Skip the parfait glass and layer the ingredients in a plastic container or cup.

Tip: Any fruit that suits your fancy — or fills your fridge — can be layered into a yogurt parfait. Try raspberries, blackberries, plums, cherries, pineapple or bananas. If winter leaves you with slim pickings in the produce department, opt for frozen fruit — it’s at least as nutritious, and some are even organic — but thaw and drain it first. And there’s always room for some chopped dried fruit or crunchy freeze-dried fruit, especially when it’s extra nutritious, like dried apricots. Toasted nuts make a great topping, too.
